Looks like i've missed some good discussion here lately! I've been busy...had my period too. It came early. My mommy friends call it AF (Aunt Flow) Anybody else have a name for their menstrual flow or cycle? Much love to you all!!

haha I have to laugh at that. I use O.B. tampons and in our house, we refer to them as "submarines" Crimson Tide....submarines. hahahaha Oh sometimes I wonder if I'm not insane.....

Ha! I never thought of tampons as "submarines"....I think of them as "tammies" on occasion, though, because when my niece was little she used to call them that. But the Crimson Tide/"submarine" connection is funny.

Hmm...sometimes I say I'm "cruisin the crimson tide". My man calls it raggin', which I'd never heard before I knew him. I once called it my Right to Womanhood when I wrote about it. Usually when I speak of it out loud, I call it raggin', bleeding, or post-PMS-but-still-hormonal time :) I enjoy cramping in front of men...I like to watch 'em cringe. Then I tell them if they thought that was bad, I'd be happy to show them my son's birth video :)

You've got ovaries babe!!!(my feminine exclamation that equals balls) I didn't tape my boys births. I had my first at home with a midwife(it was very nice and supportive).But my second I went into Grand Mal seizures during the labor so we ended up in the hospital.

OMG! how scary! I'm supposed everything turned out well after your second one's birth? I'd love to have homebirths, but I need antibiotics during labor (because of a heart problem I had as a baby, I now take prophylactic antibiotics before any surgeries, and labor counts once my water breaks). So my son was born in a hospital. Next time, birth centre. None of my births will be medicated barring an emergency c-section. My little guys birth was so amazing. I watch the video at least once a month, and he watches it with me. He knows now that's him coming out of mama. His daddy was at his birth...all through my pregnancy he said he wouldn't watch. Guess who was the first person to tell me baby's head was out? :) My mom, sister, and my doula were there as well as one awesome nurse. It was totally empowering and wonderful and I can't wait to do it again.

We both survived and I was told by my dr. not to have any more babies. I'm epileptic and they said that the next time would be worse etc..... So I got my tubes cut and cauterized. But I have two beautiful boys eleven and a half now and ten. So who am I to complain? I like you. Would you mind if I add you to my friends?

I have some friend with epilepsy who had kids. They had to take Depakote (sp?) and had to be really careful. One friend still has seizures and she's always worried about being home with her kids and having a bad seizure. She has had a few with just her and the kids home, luckily her daghter's older (6) and knows how to help mommy out. Usually her hubby's home
Sure...I'd be honored if you'd add me. My journal's...umm...interesting. Sometimes jumpy, usually so sweet and positive its sickening :) I have my bad moments though, guess you'll see :) Mind if I return the favor?

Sure go ahead. Unfortunately I had to give custody of my boys up to my ex because of my seizure disorder. I am on Carbatrol 600mg. a day, Zonagran 200mg a day,&Lamictal 400mg. a day. As of January my seizures have been under control for 4 months now. That's the longest in over 5 years time. So you can see why I gave my ex custody.

OH wow. I'm sorry to hear that. That must be really hard on you :( I'm glad though to hear that everythings been under control for so long. Sometimes, drugs are good things :) Your kids are lucky, they have a pretty awesome mom as far as I can tell. :)

It is so very super. I have really not had much of anything to complain about the whole time and a lot to be pleased and amazed about. I am absolutely loving the big belly and am dieing for warmer weather so I can flaunt it more.
Freaking out a bit once in a while as I only have 10 weeks left. Sometimes I feel like I should spend more time just laying around reveling in my state of being.

I LOVED showing off my big belly! I was so happy to have a summer pregnancy just for that reason. I was so proud of the little person growing in me and I wanted everybody to konw. I never got any dirty looks (unless they were behind my back) IN fact, I got lots of happy comments and people in awe of the fact that I wasn't the least bit self-consious :) I used to just lay round and revel in my state of bein like that :) I'd just lay there and feel him move and bask int he glow of it all. And, I'd think "this is the last time I'm going to be a house this quiet" LOL I'm glad things are going well for you! I really look forward to your birth story...I'm a "birth junkie" and love birth stories. Every one of 'em makes me so proud to be a woman, a mother.

I go swimming at a pool regularly and have been wearing my same old bikini as the waist was stetched out anyways. Another regular swimmer woman I chat with offered me some old one pieces of hers the other day. The idea that I like to have my naked belly poking out into the world was a foreign concept to her.
I also like people telling me I'm huge which supposedly a lot of women don't like.

YEs I know that :) I'm a King fan from way back. 'Eyes of the Dragon' is my all-time fave book. We read it in the 5th grade. I haven't read a couple of his newest books. I'mglad though to hear there are other people on this planet who reckognize the name Flagg besides me LOL :) As for some kid named Jeff Dahlmer...I guess there's worse ones. Can you imagine a little Adolf Hitler? eeek. I once met a Charles Manson. Poor kid.
