I knew I would be getting my period soon because (well, because it was time) but because I've been really depressed lately, and that always preceeds my period. When I was younger, I'd always get my period in the middle of the night, and wake up with blood all over myself, my pajamas, my sheets, but now I've gotten a lot better at sensing it, and I usually am in the bathroom when it first comes.

I used to hate tampons, and I still kind of do, but I hate how messy it is to just wear pads. I've never tried a keeper or the instead cup, because they scare me. I mean, I have friends that swear by them, but I always have leakage problems, even with tampons, and I guess I just don't understand enough about them. Maybe someday. I worry because I have an extremely heavy flow for seven days.

Anyway, I woke up this morning and wanted to die because my cramps were so bad, but not just that, my vagina hurt so much. I really hate that, and I've never understood how some women can have sex during their period. Even the thought of it makes me cringe. I'd think it would hurt.

Did any of you read the great article in bitch magazine last year about menstruation? It was wonderful.

my vagina hurt so much. I really hate that, and I've never understood how some women can have sex during their period. Even the thought of it makes me cringe. I'd think it would hurt.

The thing is, not everyone gets pain in their vagina during their period, and some women find sex helps with the other cramps.
