Unfortunately I have mild acne all the time, that gets a teeny bit worse during PMS week. I just try to keep up my skin regimen, which seems to help prevent breakouts.
You might want to try a lotion with salicylic acid and alpha hydroxy acids daily about a week before your breakout would show up, and use a milk-of-magnesia facial mask if your skin seems oily. Premenstrual breakouts are probably caused by excessive oil production, so you want to mop up the excess oil and exfoliate.
I usually get one or two pimples before my period. I am a skin-care guru, and this is how I treat them:
Ordinary pimples, I put a dot of tea tree oil on in the morning or before bed. They are usually gone within a day or three. For super big pimples, that need to go quickly, I will put on some Oxy or other benziol peroxide cream.
If the pimple is a great big cyst type, I whip out my secret weapon: a band-aid type bandage. I put some Oxy on the bandage, put the bandage on the pimple, and go to bed. It will be either gone or significantly smaller in the morning.
