i do. i usually bleed for about 8 days, the first 5 or so of which i have to wear both together. and i'm talking even with super plus absorbency. it's a shame, too, because i hate pads with an unholy fervor. tampons own me but they just don't make them absorbent enough for my horrible periods.
speaking of which, day 20 and still no sign of it. meh.
i appreciate the sugestion, but no. i've seen the thing and it looks huge, for one thing. i'm not built for that. also, i don't want to have to worry about lugging it to the sink when i'm done and rinsing it out with people around. i'm not ashamed of bleeding, but i don't enjoy it being quite so obvious.
In my twenties, I went through a couple of years where I needed one of each, and changed both every 30-90 minutes. A couple of days I stayed home, sat naked in the bathtub, and read a book. It was simpler.
For me, using a tampon is like using a Q-tip to stop a nosebleed. It's ridiculous, the kind of padding I have to use, just to ensure I don't leak out. I usually double up the extra longs and make a diaper.
