My period seems to enjoy being around for Holidays.

It came on Halloween, then I didn't see it for a long, long, time, because apparently it doesn't do Thanksgiving or whatever, and now it finally came, 25 days late, this morning.

And I'm having cramps something awful. I do love these Playtex Heat Therapy patches, however -- though I wish they'd heat up just a little more. Between that and a buttload of ibuprofen, combined with a late afternoon nap in my too-comfy bed, I'm feeling almost prepared to deal with tomorrow.

is your period usually pretty regular? because mine's usually very regular and now its like a week late, and i am super mega paranoid because i was really drunk a couple weeks ago and had unprotected sex, but only for about a minute and the guy said i had nothing to worry about. trust me, i am not a slut or anything-- it was really out of character for me. i have never had sex before and if i am pregnant i honestly don't know what i will do. i guess i am fishing for advice, but i've been crying for the past week and your post actually gave me a little hope...

It's usually pretty regular -- a weird but fairly consistent cycle of about 23 days start to start, lasting anywhere between 6 and 11 days. If it's late at all, it's usually no more than 3 to 4, a week at most. Never, ever a month. Ever in the 13 years I've been having periods.

Of course, there was no chance in hell of me being pregnant, but still -- a) don't listen to this boy who didn't seem to care that you'd had a lot to drink -- what does he know? b) take care of yourself -- get to a gynecologist or even your family practioner ASAP. and at the very least get an EPT test or something -- but you should still see a doctor. Only a minute is enough to pick up diseases or get pregnant, no matter what that guy says.
