Oh god.. I have the worst cramps ever :( Its almost crippling, I've doped myself up on feminax, I have a hot water bottle, I've tried lying on my back, tried exercising, had a warm bath.. etc, but nothing helps :( I was wondering if anyone knew of any specific exercises that might help to relieve the pain? if you do then please let me know, lol, Im in absolute agony.

If you're up for it, you might try masturbating...that sometimes helps by releasing endorphins. I've found that pulling my knees up towards my chest also helps. Curl up in the fetal position. Rasberry leaf tea, blue cohosh, dong quai, rosemary or st. johns wart (in tea) can all help with painful menstruation. If you're taking birth control pills, don't use st. john's wart.

I've found that watching my caffeine intake throughout the month, making sure I get enough calcium and magnesium throughout the month all help reduce cramps.

This is acually my favorite page with herbal remedies for menstrual issues. My old GYN had given me a handout with a lot of these on it, so some of them are familiar.

i totally agree about masturbating as a cramp remedy. It works very well! Many, many years of cramps (that often sent me home from school) taught me that one!
