Dec. 31st, 2002 11:27 pmany day now. please. it's late. gah. i think it's all the stress and being depressed.
i have a couple questions, and well .. i'll put them behind a cut for you all 'cause i'm nice.
one, sometimes before my period starts, it itches down there, is that normal or should i get it checked out?
and two, i get a discharge of white stuff coming out of my body and before my period it gets darker, is this spotting?

Date: 2002-12-31 11:57 pm (UTC)#2: I got my period on my 12th birthday, and for like, a few weeks beforehand, I did get a white discharge. I asked my mother about it (a nurse), and she said it was normal, and introduced me to the wonderful world of pantyliners. I still do get some whitish stuff the week beforehand. You can kind of tell when you're period should show up by the thickness and color of the discharge (yeah, some people find it gross, I find it helpful so that I don't ruin any pants). I don't think it's spotting unless it's blood colored (brown or red).
I'd wait until a few of the more knowledgable community members post before trusting my info, I'm kinda falling asleep. :)

Date: 2003-01-01 01:12 am (UTC)2. If by darker you mean yellow, that's also not unusual in the second half of the cycle, provided it doesn't have a greenish tinge and doesn't smell bad. Those things could be signs of infection, which would be worth checking out with a doctor. Spotting would be red or brown, as the previous poster said.
