I've done that before. Nasty stale white chocolate squares, and unsweetned dark chocolate baking squares on different occasions when I just *had* to have chocolate. Good luck finding some of the real stuff.
add some sugar (powdered is the finest), melt in the microwave slowly, stir in some fat (cocoa butter is best, palm shortening or butter next best), some milk or cream... and you've got a nice smooth chocolate dip. you can let this set in the fridge and it might even temper, if your proportions are right. ;)
