Hi. I'm 15, turning 16 in 2 months. I finally got a tampon in after 4 1/2 years of my period... I tried and tried. But today, I just pushed it in and up it went :) Any recommendations for best slim tampons?

Tampax makes some that are very slim. I use the "Slimfits" (they're in a blue and pink box, but aren't all tampons? lol) but I think there is an even smaller size in a purple/white and blue box. Good luck! =)

I personally like the tampax "pearl" tampons...simply because their applicator is probably the easiest to work with that I've found.

I love their applicator, but I don't like the way they expand.

*lol* That's what I was just discussing with someone else. I don't like the way regular tampax tampons expand either. I personally like OB tampons, which it seems like tampax was trying to copy (though vary poorly) but I hate OB applicators.

I just started using tampons, and the first ones I bought were the Tampax Pearls. Me, not one for reading the box or anything, didn't know that they were supposed to expand that way. I thought it was me. *laughs* But I did eventually read the box, and said "no more" to them and switched to OB. And yes, I was telling myself yesterday how much I don't like their applicators.

Now, if someone could only combine Pearl's applicator and OB's tampon. The world would be a much better place for us women. ;p

I personally use compaks, but the pearls are definitely better for "slim". But they are stupid when you take them out. I didnt like them.

Its really a personal thing.

I think the shape of them are a little odd. It seems like they were trying to make them like the OB tampons, which I don't mind...except I don't like the OB applicator. If they could combine the two I'd be in heaven.

i love O.B. tampons (they dont leak or pull appart as much as other brands), and even though they dont make a "slim" or "junior" size, the regular size (pink box) is very small and comfortable. You can get them with or without applicators, both of which are great options that you may want to try out.
