What the hell!! It finally looks like it's starting to stop - and then an hour later it's back to high tide. It gets me all hopeful then just fucks me all up. :(

Oh yeah, I have a horribly, really stupid question, but I'm curious: I dunno if I'm the only one (probably not..) but what the hell are those dark (almost black, but are just really dark red) 'globs' you get on your pad when your raggin' it? I know it's probably nothing, but I'd just like to know why I/we get them.

they're bloodclots. nothing to worry about unless they're really large (i've had them the size of golfballs before, and they're very painful to pass.) if yours are bigger than marbles, i'd go to the gyno and find out if there's anything amiss. it can be a sign of internal problems.

I don't know what they are, but I do know that I get those 'globs' too. In fact, I hardly ever menstruate otherwise. Most of it is in 'globs'. My period is still irregular, so maybe these globs will stop. In a response to an earlier entry, I once had a period that lasted around eleven days.....it stopped for about two days and started again, though.... --_--

Actually that happens during my heavier days. I don't menstruate much otherwise because I have the bulk of my days as heavy. Thanks to those who answered to the original post-- I've been wondering the same thing!!

On the topic, does anyone one else have excessive vaginal discharge between periods? (Like needing a pantyliner everyday)

Uterine lining that came off all together. If you feel like its getting excessive, be sure to call your doctor about it, ask and get checked out if necessary. I get have them regularly on the first two days amongst the flood. It's never caused me any problems, and like a previous poster wrote, I've never had any larger than about golf ball circumference.
