Keeper/Divacup question.
May. 31st, 2003 04:42 pmWhere can you buy a Keeper/Divacup? Are they available at drugstores or grocery stores, or do you have to order one online? How much do they cost?
And if the only choice is online, how long did it take for you to get it?
And for those who use one:
* Are they easy to insert (easier than tampons)?
* How often to you have to wash them out?
* Do you experience any pain at all when you take it out?
Sorry for the 1000 questions, i'm just curious, lol.

The Keeper is 35 I believe and the 2 others are about 28 with shipping. It took me a week and a half to get my Divacup. It was tough getting it in and out the first time but I quickly got the hang of it. It hurt very much the first time but now it only hurts a bit taking it out. I clean mine everytime I take it out so about 3 times a day.

2.I don't have a very heavy flow, so I usually have it in for the full 12 hours (eh, sometimes more if I'm lazy) and wash it every time I take it out.
3.In the beginning, when you haven't got the technique down yet, it can hurt. Like if you don't break the seal it feels like you are going to suck your uterus out. To break the seal you just have to squeeze the cup on each side with your finger.
Once you get used to using it, it's no trouble at all. It's so convenient, especially since you can leave it in for 12 hours(depending on your flow). I hope that helps and check out
