For the last few months I have had evil, evil cramping and nausea at the start of my period, so bad it made me cry and vomit. This month, I have linked it to the cup (I use the mooncup) - when I take it out, the cramps subside a little and I feel much less sick.

Has anyone else found that using one of the menstrual cups increases cramping and other symptoms of period hell?

I wouldn't know, I don't use the mooncup. I naturally get cramps that make me cry for hours on end and nausea so bad I vomit. While I don't have advice to give you to, I know how that feels (the crying and vomitng from period related symptoms). I'm sorry you have to go through that. It isn't cool. My mother is making me get birth control for my period. I hope you feel better and that your period ends soon.

i suggest you try something other than mooncups, then. i personally had the opposite experience in that i used to have horrible cramps, and since i started the Keeper (http://www.thekeeper.com) i've found they're significantly reduced. basically i think different things work for different people and you've got to shop around a bit; have you tried the Keeper, or sea sponges?

I can't wear my keeper when I'm having a lot of cramping. It just feels like it's putting too much pressure on my organs or something(especially the bladder). It was the same way when I wore tampons though.

It's fine to wear when I'm not having cramps and I haven't noticed that it's caused any cramps, since I have the cramps before I put it in.
