Ugh. Embarrassing leaking problems. It feels like I can never control them, especially in school. I know there's nothing to be ashamed about, because every woman menstruates, but somehow we do not want to see that blood outside. And I hate to give in, but it's humiliating to have men walk behind you and then realize that you have stains on your pants. Oh God.

i had the same problem when i was in junior high, i started in sixth grade. i think my flow was just too heavy for even the thickest i could wear at the time pad. boys would make fun of me every_single_month. i hated it. when i got to high school things calmed down & everything went okay. i don't know if it was my body or better protection (still pads, btw). i feel your pain though. i look back on it & am still embarassed about it. :/ *hugs*

I bleed over all the time, I know how it is. I've been doing it ever since I started when I was 9. I usually don't bleed over onto the back of my pants, it is usually between my legs, and then it just goes everywhere from there. What sucks is when you wear a long shirt that covers when you do bleed over onto the back of your pants, but it seeps through the shirt. That happened to me quite a few times. It's really sad when you bleed over regardless that you change your pad like one every 2 to 3 hours. It's humiliating, I agree with you.

Well, it doesn't solve the actual problem of leaking, but for the days when you're heaviest, you could wear black pants/shorts/etc. That's what I had to do when I was younger for the first two days of my period. At least no one knows then, and it doesn't ruin any clothes.

When I was sitting in philosophy class, it started. You'd think after having my period for 8 years, I'd learn. I had to sit there for 45 minutes, bleeding into my pants, horrified, totally unprepared......what a bad day! It didn't stain my jeans (underwear ruined), but oh God, what a horrible feeling...

If you use tampons, try OB. In my experience I've never had leakage problems with them because of the way they expand, but I usually use a pantyliner with them just in case.

It's such a pain, I know. Guys will never understand what we go through.

Try being in the office and soaking thru your maxi-pad in 2 hours, staining your skirt and the seat cushion. Plus I had to interview a job applicant in an hour. I spent a lovely ten minutes in the restroom blotting with paper towels and waving my skirt under the hand dryer. Good thing I was wearing a dark skirt.
