That TIME

A friend of mine, a man, aid that I should try to rejoice in my monthly cycle. He believes that time that a woman bleeds is a time of great inner power. It's a nice thought, but it's the time BEFORE the bleeding that kills me. The cramps and bloating.....OUCH.

It's hard to rejoice when you are busy calculating how much more ibuprofen you can take without killing your kidneys.

Well, in a way it is a time of great power. I believe that a woman becomes more sensitive to her surroundings and her feelings during that time. Now as for rejoicing? Well, we can try, but that's not always the easiest thing to do, when like you said "It's hard to rejoice when you are busy calculating how much more ibuprofen you can take without killing your kidneys. "

Take care...

When I got my last period, I rejoiced that I wasn't pregnant.

This latest period was particularly important because it was the first period after ending a relationship. Had we been together, an unplanned pregnancy would have been difficult but we would have dealt with it. Apart, well, there's no question that it would be a harrowing situation.
