Sorry for all the menstruation-related entries. When I have my period I tend to become temporarily obsessed with it - it's hard to explain, but it sort of lets me get in touch with my body, blood and raw emotions once a month. It's very...primal, natural, comforting. I feel a part of the Moon, Sun, stars, trees, Earth, the cycle of life. I am woman and I bleed.
She's a friend that can be inconvenient sometimes, but if I had the chance to give her up, I wouldn't.

* Hi, everyone...I just joined after a friend directed me here. :)

And I'm back. I was woken up aroung 4:00 this morning feeling like I was about to start. I had a few cramps, but after two aspirin and a tylenol I'm feeling fine. Hope it will stay that way too.

Here's a question for you. Sorry if it grosses anyone out. My boyfriend last night could tell that I was going to start today just by the way I smelled down there. I had no idea about that. Does that happen to anyone else. Kind of weird how he can predict better than me when I'm going to start my period.

First visit(to this Hut-not the hut, ho ho)!
I've been looking forward to this. Ortho means that the cramps are minimal(yay!)
I'm not working in a traditional "workplace" right now, so I don't have to feel self-conscious about putting my feet way up on the desk. It's something I just have to do the first couple of days, to feel better. Anybody else have that quirk?

I hate it when my period is late (about a month late this time). That seems to make it about twice as heavy when it does come.

Like now. I tried to put a tampon in and ended up bleeding all over the floor. It's craziness.

And speaking of tampons...I love them, but I hate how if you don't "aim" it exactly right, as in straight in, it hurts and won't budge. It's trial and error. Urgh.

hi everyone- i just joined and i have a question.

i haven't had my period since april, when i noticed my breasts were leaking- i went to the doctor and she found nothing wrong except the level of a hormone called prolactin was higher than usual. i'm definitely not pregnant. now all i really want is my period back. has anyone here had anything similar happen with them?

thanks so much*- this definitely seems to be a really cool community.
