Just wanted to comment that normally, I would have started my period yesterday. I love the idea I still have a two months before I have to get my period! Skipping placebo is so much more convenient.

I haven't noticed a signifigant change on the sex drive thing yet, though. Usually the day before I got my period when I was taking Ortho it would spike, because I was on the placebo pill and the hormone had worked out of my system by that point. We'll see if the lower dose helps by next month, I hope.

Alesse is good so far, no problems as of yet.

Usually (most recently), my period has a light day, followed by a heavy day, followed by a light day, followed by four days of dribbles.

This time I started Saturday afternoon kind of light, went to medium, had a medium flow through Monday morning . . . then it just stopped.

Wow.

If it's like this until and through menopause, I'll say yay.

I wonder if this is because I'm on prednisone.

After complaining that my Triphasil no longer helped with my PMS symptoms my ob/gyn switched my pill from Triphasil to Nordette.

Anyone here who takes Nordette have any problems or praises for it? Any side effects you have noticed?

My big problem side effect appears to be a massive increase in appetite. I just cannot stop eating. I feel constantly hungry and after I eat, no matter how large the meal, 20 minutes later my stomach is growling. I'm attempting to diet as I'm already 60 pounds overweight. This is not a good side effect.

ok, I've been bleeding for 18 days, since I usually bleed for 7-8 days this is very odd.

My period didn't follow its normal pattern because it was very light for about 4 days, then went heavy for another 4 days or so, and since then has been a consistent medium flow. But it only just dawned on me how long its been and how unusual this is!
I guess I haven't noticed it much because of my keeper, and the fact that I've had much less pain than I usually get with my period.

I'm not on b/c pills or any medication, I have an IUD, which caused me to bleed for longer at first, but that settled down, and the extra bleeding was also associated with more cramps which I don't have this time.

Its very odd. I would make an appointment to see my doc, but it takes ages to get seen in the area I live in.

If it weren't for my keeper this mega long period would be very annoying!


Any ideas? suggestions? similar instances?

so i wrote a while back that while on orthcycle that i use to get my period on wednesday, then i started getting it on thursday, then friday and how i was getting freaked out by that. well, i had a physical a few weeks back and my doctor said that was 'cause the pill i was on was such a small dose, so she put me on Triphasil, or the generic name, Trivoro. anyone else use it?
in other news, i also have a yeast infection. i never bothered to call my doctor and get it diagnosed as a yeast infection the first time i had one though... but since i've been on birth control, i've gotten one about once every other month. anyone else get them that frequent? the warning and direction pack of the medicine i got said something about if you get another one in two months to call your doctor. and also if it's...um...foul smelling. but i'm thinking...it doesn't smell great down there anyway so how bad does it have to smell to be considered foul smelling? mix sweat smell with vagina smell and i think its foul smelling. it's such a gross topic i don't know who else to ask besides my doctor and i don't have time to go to an appointment this week.
