I haven't posted in a while because, well, every time I've been in the hut I felt like total crap and didn't have the energy to write anything. Anyway, I had severe cramps, nausea, hot flashes, headaches, dizzy spells, sharp pains in the left side of my abdomen and MAJOR anger spells. So, I went to the doctor, told him all about it and he said that I was having large spikes of progesterone at the beginning of my period. He said it's the same thing that happens to women in their first trimester when they have morning sickness. He prescribed a patch to wear the week of my period called Catapres TTS-1 and Bextra for my cramps. The difference is phenomenal! EVERYTHING is better. So, if there is anyone else suffering from similar symptoms, ask your doctor about it. I really feel almost normal. And, my coworkers (mostly men) like me SO much better!

hi, i'm new here. i'm on ortho-trcylen. i saw that recently someone had asked if it was okay to skip the sugar pills, and just go to a new pack. last week i did this, because i was taking a trip to visit my boyfriend, and i didn't want to be a raging hormonal case. here is where it gets complicated: while i was visiting him, we were fooling around, and i thought maybe he had broken my hymen. the next day i had some bleeding, and it has continued for seven days. i noticed when some people replied to that other post, they said that you can have some bleeding etc., even though you have skipped the sugar pills.

so, i'm trying to solve the mystery as to whether or not it is my hymen causing this bleeding, or if it's the fact that i skipped my sugar pills and went right to the new pack.

and if this has been caused by the pills, how much longer should i expect this to last? it has been seven days already, which is even longer than how long my period usually is (around five days). because if it isn't the pill..i'm guess i should probably see a doctor, and i need to find some way to tell my mother.

so, any advice would be really nice. thank you.
