hi. I've posted quite a few times regarding abdominal pain. well, here's one again! just so you known, my fiancee and I do not use protection, I'm not on birth control (starting yasmin on my next period), and I'm on the 17th day of my cycle (technically, because it is after midnight my time).

now, about my problem. my fiancee and I did a lot of walking today, so I'm not sure if this caused my problem or not. I'm having some really intense pains on my left side of my abdomen, around my left ovary. when we had sex this evening, my whole abdomen was hurting with each movement - to the point where it was hard to enjoy making love. it hurts there (left side of my abdomen near/around my left ovary) when I pee and attempt any bowel movements. I'm not sure what's really going on or how to stop it. it's really bothering me and my doctors aren't open till Monday.

does anyone have any ideas as to what could be going on? more cysts? or what? I have some cysts on my right ovary, but I don't believe there were any on my left from what my doctor said (nobody I've talked to about them has been very informative). any and all comments are welcome & much appreciated. thanks.

I am using O.B. tampons for the first time today (yep, just entered the hut), and I had a little trouble getting it in. They don't have an applicator, and I've always used tampons with applicators. I felt like I couldn't get it far enough in.

Any tips?

On a different note, I ordered a DivaCup on Thursday, so this will hopefully be my last period dealing with tampons!

EDIT: No better luck with the second one. So far my experience with them is not a good one! I'm cranky and crampy and this is not fun at all. I've heard so many good things about O.B., so please, if you have tips, let me know.

Well, my experiment with the Insteads hasn't been good as I had hoped. I have great difficulty getting them out. My midwife told me that my cervix is very far back and I wonder if that has anything to do with it. Without getting too graphic, let's just say it's really messy. And I don't think it is anything that will get better with practice. I think it's just the mechanics of what I have to do to get it out. It's a shame because I love the way I am not feeling anything, no bulky pad, no uncomfortable tampon. Is the Keeper any easier to remove? Is it placed inside as far back as the Instead cup is?

This period took a long time to come. I'd say that it took about two months...but boy did it show up. I have been CRAZY! I've been saying stuff all randomly and then thinking I just said something incredibly stupid. I've been nauseous. I've been dropping, knocking over, and destroying things like a madwoman. I feel like I can't trust my own judgement right now. So I'm wondering...could this be the hormones, or am I just dysfunctional?

hi im new, and i looked for a memories page but couldnt find one..so maybe my question has been asked before..or something like it.

i got my last period in late june. and everything was fine and it was a normal flow and what not. my boyfriend and i engaged in sex quite a few times in both june and july. using protection all of the times. i didnt get a period for july. ive taked 6 pregnancy tests (yeah i know thats alot..) and they all have come out with negative results. i still havent had my period. so im wondering could this be because of lots of stress(imm oving cross country ALONE soon) and diet changing in july(i didnt eat for a few days in july)?

any thought or comments would help me a whole lot.

thanks so much,
toria
