Hey girls--

So, I'm concerned about my ovaries. The period that I had last month, and the one that just started today were accompanied by *very* intense pain where I imagine one would find their ovaries.
I've always been under the impression that one month the left ovary will handle the job and the next month the right ovary will pop one out. However, both times I've had this fairly intense pain on the same side.
How would I be able to tell if it was a cyst? I mean, I know an ultrasound is the ultimate answer. But, what could I use as a barometer to tell me if I should get one done?

Alison.

In the hut again. Hurray.

Wouldn't be so bad except my damn divacup is dead set on leaking. I only wear it at night, so at least I'm only getting blood on my sheets, but it's still irritating. It wouldn't be so bad if I could at least tell when I put it in that it's not in right and it's going to leak, so I can fix it. But nooo. It's just the same as usual, except I wake up an hour and a half early the next morning all squishy between my legs because of that damn thing.

Needless to say, I'm not especially impressed with the cup.

[edit: Man, it's been so long since I've used a tampon I'd forgotten how much I love them. Yes, that's right, love them. Screw all the hippie earthy stuff, the only way I'm ever 100% comfortable on my period is with a tampon in.]

so i have a question about the diva cup.
this is my first week using it.
first of all - i have major issues getting it in and out. it just hurts me because i'm more used to smaller objects (aka tampons).
second - i'm pretty sure i have it in right & i do twist it like it says, but i still get major leakage.
& when it's in the tab doesn't sit in the middle but it points to the ... right side.

any suggestions on fixing the problem or should i just return to disposables ????

I want to purchase a Keeper, and I was thinking of doing so through lunapads.com, cause then I get a combination kit with a couple of minipads. It comes about to about $65 - however, does anyone know of any cheaper sources (or is this the best option?) Thanks!

Hello all I am new and currently in the hut. I have a question but first little back ground info....

I am 24 and trying to conceive. I had a miscarriage in may and started trying again in august. Since my miscarriage my periods have become worse. Not the period itself but the cramps. I have a three day period and the first day is awful. This has been the worst EVER. I had to cancel my appointments and have someone drive me home.

The cramps are in my left hip/leg. It starts in the front around the left ovary and wraps around to my sacral area as well as down the side and front of my thigh and under my kneecap.

Does anyone have anything that may help with these???
