I am officially in the hut. Allow me to just take a moment to say... "IT'S ABOUT FREAKIN' TIME!!!"

I have been having horrendeously irregular periods since stopping the pill back in April. I posted last week ranting all about that little issue, but what I didn't mention was that I did some research on herbs to regulate the menstral cycle and turned up some marvelous emmenogouges. I went the slighly passive/agressive route and started drinking a ton of raspberry leaf tea (Traditional Medicinals in case anyone is wondering) and taking 30 drops of dong quai tincture a day for the last week. Yesterday, it paid off. I started bleeding! Yay me! I'm a girl again!

Okay, that's all I have to say. :)

Hmmm... I should really go see a gyno, I guess. I'm 19, not sexually active and in a longterm relationship. I don't have any std's that I know of, but i guess i should get checked out anyway. My GP said I might want to consider BC for my cramps, as well as for contraceptive purposes (once I can actually manage to have sex with my boyfriend ;) Auntie Flo made her appearance yesterday)

Any advice on how to choose a gyno?

Thanks. This community rocks! :)

I have been charting using fertilityfriend.com for about 8 months now, and have never had an annovulatory cycle. However, this month I do not think I ovulated (as my temps have remained low throughout the whole cycle) and I am currently on day 30. (I would normally ovulate around day 14-15 and get my period around day 28-32.

Last night after making love, I spotted a little and assumed I was getting my period. However, the spotting was light and stopped quickly and I haven't had any more since last night.

Here is my question: what happens exactly during an annovulatory cycle? If you did not ovulate, how is it that you still get your period? I was under the impression that the hormones secreted by the corpus luteum after ovulation were needed in order to have a period. Secondly, has anyone else experienced this? What do you think is going on with my body right now? This has never happened to me before and I'm a bit confused. Finally, my temps this cycle are lower than I've ever seen them. Could it possibly be I just need a new battery in my BBT?

Thanks in advance for any and all help!

So I got my very first Depo shot this afternoon. I'm just pretty curious on what to expect. Could you gals tell me your personal experience or just any comments on your first 3 months of Depo? I'd appreciate it lots :)
