Hoorah! Its been a short, pain-free, well-timed hut-visit.

Ahh, the things we women are grateful for, eh?

A query: how do you all handle periods and sleeping? I hate wearing those enormous diaper pads, fear of TSS rules out the overnight tampon, and sleeping on a towel just feels funny...

Tight pants + this phase of the moon = pad wedgie.
Not doing this again, even though with these pants it looks like I actually have a butt. Ah, vanity...

Questions about birth control-pregnancy-abortions-etc etc etc

So... I'm on birth control. Not for reasons of that I'm sexually active, but for other reasons. I am pretty flexible in regards to what time I take my pill everyday -- as in I usually take it at night sometime in between 7pm and 9pm. It hasnt ever really mattered because it has done what it needs to do in regards to regulating my body, but that is it. I do also know that at least once in the last week i ahve forgotten to take my pill until the following morning.

Anyway. I had unprotected sex with a guy on friday night/ saturday morning. I was also on my period when I had sex.

What I was wondering, is well a couple of things. How possible is it that I could get pregnant, given that I was menstruating at the time... and also, that I've never been very regular with taking my birth control?

Also, what is the best way to find out if I am pregnant, and how long do I have to wait to do this?

My last question is... I have heard that if you think you are pregnant or if there is a possibility of it, you should not take birth control because it can cause spontaneous abortions. I'm very... well, staunchly oppossed to even premarital sex (and I am in disgust of myself) but I am also very oppossed to abortions. And if there is even a chance I could be pregnant -- which there is, since I had sex more than once with this guy that night and I know that he came inside me.

I am suppossed to start my next pack of bc pills next thursday, but i am not going to because I dont want to do anything stupid before I am completely informed about this. By the way, the bc I am on is brevicon.

Anyone have any advice, or answers to any of this? Or other communities or websites they can refer me to? Thanks.

Hi all, haven't posted in a while. I have a bit of a question for you all.

Ok, well i have painful hips, i think it's something to do with a tendon that's too tight. It passes over the joints in my hips and makes a noise and hurts. A few months ago i went for an MRI scan to confirm that it wasn't arthritis. When i got the results back, the consultant told me that there's 'free fluid' on my pelvis. He told me to see my doctor, he'd be able to tell me what it is.

I went to my doctor to get the pill (i have really irregular periods). He said he can't prescribe anything until we know what this fluid on my pelvis is. He says it's probably not serious, but very rare in a girl my age. Anyone know what it is? It doesn't hurt, but my doctor thinks it may have something to do with my irregular periods. He's referred my to a gynaecologist, so hopefully i'll find out soon.

I saw on the internet a few months ago that the Keeper (which i use) can cause retrograde menstruation or something, which causes blood to flow outside of where it should be. Now, i thought this was what endometriosis was, but i've heard you can have it without knowing. Is this what i've got do you think? I though endometriosis was only where this happened but it causes painful periods. Can someone enlighten me please?

I've looked through the memories but haven't found quite the answer I was looking for so:

Is there anything I can do and/or take to help my period arrive sooner?
besides the "morning after" pill.
My period should arrive by the end of the week but it would be spectacular if it could arrive sooner. Any suggestions?

I have written before, but I am really getting concerned about my current condition, so I am writing to see if anyone else has been through what I am going through...I know there are some girls out there that have written about similar experiences, and I am hoping that somebody can give me an idea of what might be happening with me. I am going to Planned Parenthood this week, since I do not have health insurance.
Cut for your pleasure: )
