my mother always used to complain that she could feel her flow, like a gush, when she stood up. i never really knew what she meant until this year. i used to use tampons all the time, but i've found since i sit all day at work, pads are more comfortable, and it's easier to know when i need to change it. especially since some days i'm so light i can wear 1 pad for 8 hours.
it's just icky. and i'm traveling starting tomorrow night. pads are easier then, too.
i saw on here that some women use cloth pads. it sounds like a great idea, but i don't like the thought of taking my dirty pads to the laundromat, and the cat plays with any clothes i hang to dry. i'm sure she'd love to play with those.
so i figured i'd wait until the day i have my own washer and dryer to use.
has anyone here had bad experiences with cloth pads?
i'll go check the memories about that, too.

if anyone uses http://www.cyclespage.com, are the predictions for your period pretty accurate or somewhat close to it or completely off?

I might as well be kicked out for floodin this community with posts! But Im actually in the hut this time ^_^ Back with yet another question.

My period is freakishly heavy, I wear over-night pads all the time, and they soak so fast I have to change them every time I go to the bathroom, and it always seems to get on the sides of my underwear as well, and many accidents happen. I have to go to school tomorrow, I already missed 3 days due to sickness from before my period and then today from heavyness. Is there anything I can do tomorrow to assure protection? I dont want to have another accident at school. Would wearing both a tampon and a pad work? Or do tampons even do anything for a heavy flow? :( I have a Dr's appointment set up for after this period to go on birth control to get a normal flow. I cant stand this heavy stuff anymore!

I have been watching this community for the sat few years (I'm 22). Been a member then not. But now my insides are screaming at me and I felt the need for some feminine outreach.

I usually have no problem with my period. Hardly a cramp, except for right before it comes but it is just for a few hours and not at all bad. Now, this time it is aching on my lower left side and screaming at me with all my internal rage. I hate it.

I took Midol (it's all I got) but is there any other kind of things that you guys recommend for helping this little friend not be so so cranky?

God love womanhood and such but tonight makes me wish I was not so lucky.

Thanks.
