hey everyone, i have a question.. on Monday (Jan 10th) I have an appointment at Planned Parenthood to get a consultation for Depo. I was going to get my shot the same day, but I won't be on my period at the time. Does anyone know why you have to be on your period to recieve your Depo shot? Also, my friend was telling me that she got severe weight gain from it, and then she didn't get her period for a whole year after she stopped getting her shots. Then another friend told me she loved it, and only spotted the first month and everything was gravy from there on out. I know it may be different for every person, but what were some of your experiences with it? I've taken birth control in the form of a pill for about 6 years so I'm wondering if the weight gain will affect me? Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Just a quick question about the pill that I've always wondered about, and always forgot to ask my doctor :P

I take the pill (currently on Mircette, switching to Ortho-Tricyclenlo after my next period) around 12:30 every night. But sometimes I take it earlier (if I'm going out and can't carry it) or later (If I miss the time, or I go out and plan to take it when I get home) The time difference is usually no more than an hour before or after (although sometimes I've taken it 3 hours late... but NOT often at all). I'm just wondering if this slight inconsistently can effect chances of pregnancy, or if that's still considered consistent enough. I never spot.

so my friend was complaining about her period and the
conversation turned over to me not having mine since
I first got it in June. I never really thought that
it was a big deal since they're supposed to not really
have a cycle or whatever for a few years, but she
said that i could have a disease and should see a doctor.

sooo, my questions are:
is it really unhealthy that i haven't had it in so long?
&is it possible that i somehow cuz the inside of my vagina
so that it bled for two days and hasn't since then?
&i checked the memories and it said parsley tea could
induce your period, but is there anything else i could
eat or drink so that it will make me get it?

sorry, i should probably already know this stuff on my
own but since i didn't i figured i could hopefully
get some answers from you knowledgable people.
