I went to the gyno for the first time about a month ago to get birth control. She gave me Yasmin and advised me to use the "Sunday Start". I got my period today, and I think I'd rather use the "First Day Start" instead.
I'm confused. Once you start taking your pills do you take them without interruption or do you have to wait for a period of time before you start your next pack? Also, once you start taking your "sugar pills", do you take them until you have taken the last one or do you stop taking them once your period has stopped? Could someone please help me? Sorry, I know the answers might be obvious, but I'm pretty confused.

Stress CAUSING periods?!
This will be half rant, half "has this ever happened to you?"

So, I was expecting my period around the middle of the month. Then, these past couple of weeks I've been HUGELY stressed about going off to college and having to take out a $5,000 loan, on top of my government loan. Also about moving, signing up for classes, getting a job, etc. On top of that, I've been having headaches and sore throats, signaling a cold. Last night I woke up in the middle of the night and couldn't get back to sleep for about an hour for thinking about everything from money to my wisdom teeth. So...with all this stress, plus the cold, I'm expecting my period in, oh, say, December. BUT, surprise surprise, it shows up today, a week and a half early! Very strange indeed!

Very annoying, too, as my divacup hasn't arrived yet and I was hoping to have it by this period to work out any issues BEFORE I go to college. Plus I don't have any of the cloth pads I'm making done yet. So, it's back to the old plastic standard :( Hopefully I'll be able to get a pad done for use tonight, though.
