ive been on nordette for.. about six months now. something like that.

for about three months the only side effect i had was weight gain. i went from 135 to 152. maybe this isnt due to the birth control, but my eating habits havent changed at all.

as if this wasnt enough..

i also noticed my sex drive has become almost nonexistant. whenever my boyfriend is here, i dont want to do anything. i'd rather watch tv. it's awful.

and the worst of all.

the past two months ive had recurrent yeast infections. i tried monistat three. and then monistat one. and then went to the gyno. first, she gave me something similar to monistat. a few days later i was feeling the symptoms again. so about a week and a half ago i went back to see her & she tested me and said this time, yeast infection wasnt showing up. though it may have been due to the possibility of me having more yeast than normal, but not enough to show up on a test.

she gave me one diflucan.

the symptoms are kind of back again. but only every few hours do i experience itching.

is there anything else this could be? she isnt experienced with recurrent yeast infections. and i dont see why she doesnt think its my birth control? help me out here.

also, if your blood in your period is very very dark [black] and very clotted. is that a bad sign of something? because i've been having that problem.. and it also has a very unpleasant smell.

well i was on my 3rd sugar pill with no signs of period, besides my breasts were sore a few days before...so, my SO fucked it out of me (sorry for the language.."sexed" it out of me?) anyway, after sex and fingering, it came last night. lol. i wasn't worried but it came early last month, while i was still on the hormone pills, because i had a pap smear and he poked it out i guess lol. plus i just wanted it to come and get over with as usual lol.

anyone ever done that? had sex to get a period? or masterbated? i heard that works well..i usually try the tea a lot...not parsley..just any kind (they say parsley but really its just liquid to go through your body...even water..but warm is better to make it come apparently)...

also i've been reading the vagina monologues. great book!

hmm..i just moved here and the pharmacist said i was on the lowest dose of birth control (Alesse 28)...i know this isn't a birth control community, and if no one knows, that's okay..but does that mean it's any less effective?? just wondering. i'm sure it's not and i dont drink, smoke, or anything and i never miss a day...usually i start my next pack early (pharmacist said it was perfectly fine and i could skip periods altogether if i like...i prefer to have it though....)...so...i think my question trailed off and i'm going to end this.

Migraine Hell

Does anyone who takes/took Ortho-Cyclen get migraines frequently? I do, between one and four or five times per week. I have been getting them constantly since July and I've been taking Ortho-Cyclen since May, I believe. I take Esgic for my migraines, but it lessens the effects of the Ortho-Cyclen. If it's an effect from the BC then I may switch, so anyone with a common experience, please share.
