i'm finally back!

After 2+ weeks of occasional cramps, and 48 hours of the most disturbing pms ever, my period arrived yesterday just as we'd started dragging heavy furniture around ikea.

I'm dosed up on the strongest painkillers I can find, but still got less than 3 hours sleep last night. Called work to say I won't be in, and got a snooty sigh and "if you really can't make it..."

Oh, okay, maybe you're right, maybe I could come in, just as long as you don't mind me wearing huge pj's and a blanket around my shoulders. If the rest of the office is happy with me rocking backwards and forwards on the floor, and vomitting with stunning regularity. You cleared it with the 50 other female staff that we have to share a bathroom with, right? If nobody has any objection to me being locked up in there for hours at a time, I'll be right in.

On the one hand, I am really glad that I am not crippled with cramps. They often don't really start until the second day (today) anyway. On the other hand, being out all day, at a volunteer meeting too late to go home to get supplies before a Hannuka gathering, in fact, have to run there from the train station, was, er, not ideal. Especially since I stayed fairly late having wonderfully stress-relieving conversation, feared infecting the hostess with my concerns for all her offwhite furniture, and didn't want to be heard through the thin walls tearing through her bathroom vanity.

Luckily, years of honing my emergency measures skills with paper products, and ways of sitting with legs folded under me, protecting the furniture, paid off again. But, the nervousness made things more intense, perhaps that's why the conversation went so well.

ugh.

This month, I decided to skip getting my period altogether by starting my new pack of ortho tri cyclen instead of waiting a week.

in an unrelated issue, I think I have a yeast infection, but I'm not sure. My friend says the symptoms are of a yeast infection, but I really don't know. She says it will just go away, and that she just waits it out, but I'm concerned cause this really is NOT pleasant. What exactly are the symptoms, and can I just wait for it to go away or do I have to get medication?

i left the hut just a few days ago.

my flow seems to be a bit odd. i'm heavy for about two days, dry up for a day or two, and then go heavy for another day. i don't bleed much, so heavy is relative. is anyone else like this?

i ordered my keeper about a week ago. could i have some tips on using it?

I'm back, and dear gods, I was bleeding like I had fibroids or some such this morning. I have never had cramping so hard. I'm going to pick up some red raspberry leaf tea later to try to handle all this.

I'm thinking about charting not for purposes of conception (I'd have to ovulate to conceive) or contraception (I'd have to ovulate to conceive) but to see what I have -- I suspect a luteal phase defect.

Has anyone successfully charted for hormonal purposes only?

So, I waltzed into the hut this month even though I was on my last day of my BC. I was having a good streak of luck for the past couple of months with a very light flow that lasted about three or four days. This was a welcome surprise compared to my usual 5 days of bloody massacre that I have had since I got my first period like 10 years ago. I was glad for the change, but now I think I am back to normal. I am so fatigued and crampy. Ugh, I should have stayed home today.

So, I saw this ad in the paper about donating your eggs for $3000. Does anyone know anything about this? How many eggs will they take? Do I have to pay for my operation with the $3000? Everyone I've talked to about it says, "But there will be a little YOU out there somewhere!" I say that's ok, I want to help someone who wants a child to have one...which is my blanket excuse for actually just wanting $3000...but seriously. If anyone has experience with this egg donation, let me know!

Does anyone know what could cause Progesterone pills to not work. I was taking them to bring on my period. It's possible (though not likely) that I'm pregnant, but would that stop it???
I hope that's it, but if not, the pills aren't working.

if you dont get your period for a while, do you start to feel like less of a woman?

do you ever get real depressed because you're missing your period?
