Newbie here :) A little bit of background info. I'm a 19 year old female currently attending Hillsdale College and I've been on the pill for about 3 months. My question is, this past time, I've started my period halfway through the scheduled time (on about day 10 and again on about day 18). Is this normal? Am I supposed to take the period pills during these times? Take no pills at all? Help?

so, i've been on this birth control for about a month now [sprintec]. things were going fine in the beginning. after taking three a day to stop my heavy bleeding i went to one a day and i was told not to expect a period until i went on the placebo pills at the end of the cycle. that would have been great except that i began bleeding heavily the second week of the pills [after i switched]. after another week of that i called the doctor and she said that it will take a while [3-4 cycles, she said] for my body to get used to the new hormones and all and that this was normal. alrighty then.

did anyone else have a hard time getting your body used to the pills? and, if so, how long did that last?

a week later, i'm still bleeding. tuesday will make it two weeks straight. and tomorrow will begin the placebo pills. then i have an appointment on the second. i've also been having some bad cramps which, i rarely ever get those. things are crazy.

I'm getting my period right now, and I had forgotten what a sense of peace I get when I actually, forgive the pun, "go with the flow". If I push my body - don't eat when I want to eat, clean when I want to be taking a nap, etc. - I get cranky and unpleasant. I just sat around, ate Ben and Jerry's, and rented every movie I felt like seeing. And the cramps actually stopped.

Anyone else find this or am I just in a good mood cause I was happily irresponsible today?
