I've had two husbands who were not only not squeamish, but actually enjoyed my period as much as I generally do.
I, also, have a very high libido just before, and during my blood, and had discovered when I was quite young that orgasm during menstruation also helped the cramping and congestion I often experienced, as well as the headaches and crankiness. I've always said "I have a headache" is the poorest excuse a woman can give, if men only knew that orgasm expands the blood vessels which usually relieves most headaches!!! Well, it's good for lots of what ails you!! (Orgasm being the curative...NOT just having sex!! *cackle*
Anyway, I digress. I would never marry a man who was put off by a little (or alot of, for that matter) blood. That speaks to me of the whole patriarchal fear culture which has degraded, denigrated, and dis-empowered women since the dawn of christianity (and a bit before...).
My blood is a statement of my female power...the power to create life within my body...the power of destruction...passing the blood away...it is a sacrament to share that with my lover. To simply tolerate it is not sufficient. He should love and worship it...the scent, the color, the taste....The different textures of me inside and out when I bleed...the different types of blood and the difference of the love/sex experience during those times...the dark, thick sticky flow; the bright red, heavy, slippery flow; the resurgence of new blood after a vigorous fucking the day after one stops bleeding....
Forgive me, ladies, if anyone is offended. I am croning...beginning the time when I will no longer flow..no longer enjoy the bloodlove...moving on to another phase, and I wax nostalgic...
*sigh*
Anyway, as I said, I'd love to hear some comments on the above. Questions of the old woman are appropriate and acceptable as well...*cackle*
