ok... I had my daughter in may, I was taking mircette but any b/c in the pill form makes me VERY sick. I have been with my s/o for nearly three years and our other form of protection has worked *pulling out* Now I know its not a good form but the ONE tiem we didn't use it BAM I was pregnant! Go figure. Anyway...

... The last day of my period nearly two weeks ago we had sex un-protected. I have been SO tired. like groggy can't move tired. sick to my stomach, peeing every five seconds, cramps etc. I know I know I dont want to sound like one of those *OMG I HAD SEX AM I PREGNANT?* BUT... Could these be examples of soemthing else... ie: Bladder infection, etc? I am hoping do I dont remember if I felt pregnant this early before. *shrugs* I dunno I have only elt like this for about4 days. Just womdering could it be somethign other then pregnancy?

I am in a long distance relationship. This means that I do not have sex on a regular basis. When given the opportunity to have sex, it is easy to get carried away and forget "proper" safety methods. When Danny came to visit this past time (December 16-26) we had sex almost every day, and more than once when we did. It was great, except for us both worrying that I was pregnant. I can't do that to him or myself anymore, but I also can't bring myself to ask my parents for birth control under the truthful reason: I'm having sex. The good news is I recently read about a BC pill that makes it so you only have four periods a year. My periods are quite heavy and painful, so this would be great. I brought it up to my mom, who told me to ask my dad for the details (he's a pharmacist). So maybe now I can have the protection from getting pregnant that I need while also not telling my parents that I'm sexually active. I'd feel a lot more comfortable on BC when having sex, and I'm sure Danny would appreciate it too.

I looked through the memories but I didn't really find what I was looking for. Basically, I need more information about this pill, and it's side effects, and any personal experiences anyone has had with it. It would also help to know the name of the pill. I'm scared to ask for regular BC because my parents would definitly figure out that I'm having sex, and I really don't want them to know. I'm 18, so I guess I would be able to get it on my own, but my dad would still have a record of what I was taking in the computer system where he works, so I can't "get away with it" so to speak. Anything you can tell me will be greatly appreciated :)

well, not really, but I sure feel like it. I started today and boy am I irritable! I just wanted to kick everyone in the head who got in my way on campus. It already drives me nuts how close together the seats are; my afternoon class is really crowded so I couldn't even claim the territory around me with my bag and coat without someone asking way too cheerfully, "Oh, is someone sitting there?"

Grrr.

Ok, to everyone who read and responded to my earlier post here I wanted to clear up a few things:

I can't really talk to my parents about needing birth control because I'm having sex. They'd flip out. I did talk to my mom about needing birth control for my period, and it's all ok now. I would tell them the truth, but while I'm living in their house and using the car they provide for me, I really don't want them to ban me from seeing my boyfriend. They are very bad about sex conversations, and I don't feel like going through that with them, especially since we aren't on wonderful parent-daughter terms as it is. I understand that most people have parents who would rather have that talk than just not know, but my parents aren't that way. Telling them I'm having sex is like asking them to kick me out of the house.

My dad isn't the only pharmacist, but his company is the provider of our health insurance, so to get my prescription filled for a lot cheaper, I have to get it filled at a Walgreens. Problem is, Walgreens keeps a file for every customer that is on the network. I can't get away with it by getting it filled at another Walgreens because my dad will still see it when he goes to fill a future prescription.

I appreciate all the feed-back, and I am making an appointment with my doctor to get on the BC. As a side question, how many of you gained weight when you got on BC, and on average, how much weight did you gain?

Thanks :)

Is there any significant difference between the Keeper and the DivaCup?

about a week ago [7-10 days], i misplaced my birth control pills, and ended up missing three. on the second/third day of missing my pill i got my period [a week early] which i figure was because of missing the pills. the next day i started taking my pill again and have been taking it every day since. the thing is, after four days of having my period [a regular cycle for me] is lightened, but it has still not completely gone away. it is mostly browner stuff coming out now, not really any red blood, but i don't think this is normal. i'm wondering if i should take a break from my pills to have my period again, keep continuing and hope it stops or what? any advice or info is appreciated :) thanks!

i should add that when i say light, i mean to the point where i don't need a pad or tampon. almost like daily discharge but with colour?

I'm getting a headache, dizzyness, blurryness and cramps. The usual symtoms of my period or PMS--but my period just ended three to four days ago. Why would I be getting this?

And is there any female problems that are hereditary? Anyone got a site or something?
