hi! this is my first post in this community. i started reading some of the posts, and joining seemed like a great idea considering i have soooo many questions.



first of, i'de like to say that i usually have a very normal period. i never ever cramp (knock on wood) and i rarely PMS. but for the past 3 months, my period totaly changed it's pattern. now i get my period TWICE a month. approximately 16 days apart. there's got to be something wrong with that. any suggestions????

Due to a number of factors, last month was crazy for me, and I ended up with a three day period instead of the normal 5-7. This month we're back on track. As painful and inconvenient as it can be sometimes, I didn't know what I had until it was gone. Welcome back, Red.

I have something weird I'm a little concerned about...

I'm on BC (Alesse) and I've been taking it correctly. Everything's been fine except my last two periods have been ridiculously short. Last time it was super heavy for two days, then barely anything on the third day. This time it was really heavy on the first day, then barely anything yesterday and today. I'm talking not even having to use a tampon or anything, just a little blood when I go to the bathroom.

This is unusual for me because I usually have a standard 5-6 day flow, needing a tampon every day. I've been on BC for a year and a half, and switched to Alesse at the beginning of November... I thought maybe someone here would know why my periods are being so funky... maybe someone else had an experience like this??

Any help would be great!!! I just want to know if there's something wrong and I should get it checked out...

Ok...SO my insurance company switched to me the generic for Orthotricyclen. It's called Tri-Sprintec. I'm having all the symptoms I get before I get my period. My face broke out, my breasts are SO sore, my anxiety is through the roof and I feel sick to my stomach. Well today I had some spotting, I guess you could say. Some brown yuckiness....And I've got this god awful pain. It feels like there's all this pressure on my pelvic bone and like my ovaries are rebelling against me. This is all happening A WEEK EARLY! I've been on BC pills for many many years due to ovarian cysts and my period has ALWAYS ALWAYS fallen on the exact same day...and now it's a week early?! It's not exactly a full blown period...it's just yuckiness when I use the bathroom... (Maybe the Sex Gods are showing me mercy seeing as my period was supposed to come the day before Valentines Day..?? NOOKIE FOR SARAH?!?!)

Could the generic not be the strength I need? The Pharmacist said it was the same...but why in the hell is my body all sorts of screwed up?! My poonanny is NOT happy! Anytime I have problems with my womanly stuff the first thing I think is, "PREGNANT! SOOOOOOO KNOCKED UP!!" Heehee I'm retarded!!

skipping and stuff

Well, i got my pap today and it was awesome. I went to a women's clinic thing that was going on so i got a flower after and everything! I also got the breast exam and stuff....yay! They made me feel really comfortable...food, drinks, movie, info and everything in the waiting room. Also gave me a prescription for a year's worth of BC!! :D

Now...I'm getting surgery on my lung on Thursday....and tomorrow is my first day of taking no hormone pills for the month which means i would have my period during surgery!!!! Soooo first my first time ever im going to try and skip my period...i'm on alesse and i have had break through bleeding near the end of the hormone pills before so im a bit worried, but i guess it's worth a shot...

anyone else have good/bad luck with doing this on alesse??
